The Rushians in Parkvilla Theater - November 30th

On 30 November, we play at the Parkvilla Theatre in Alpen a/d Rijn. An evening integrally featuring the 2 icons Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures. We will tell anecdotes about the albums and the songs complemented by a few gems like The Garden and Nobody's Hero and more nice surprises.

The 7th edition of the Rush fan event and for the 3rd time at the beautiful Boerderij in Zoetermeer. This year a special party with our Rush friends from Moving Pictures from Scotland. In addition interviews with Jean-Paul Heck and Bernard Bodt. It was again a top event and next year we and hopefully all of you will be there again.

The Rushians have been asked to join on a Neil Peart tribute album. As Rushians, we chose a song you don't hear very often. It was an honour to take part in this project.

Finally after 3 years it's here again The Dutch Rush Fan Event.
And at a top location, Holland's prog temple the Boerderij in Zoetermeer.
It promises to be another fantastic day for all Rush fans with interviews, a quiz and a "how to play a Rush song" clinic. Afterwards, we will play a 2-hour show with many Rush classics, video animations and dazzling light show.
For all Rush fans, don't miss it.

Dit ben ik: In het dagelijks leven sta ik in een ijzerwarenspeciaalzaak en in de avonduren werk ik met liefde en passie aan Nederlandse vertalingen van de boeken van Rush drummer Neil Peart. Acht jaar geleden ben ik vol enthousiasme begonnen met het vertalen van het boek Ghost Rider van de Canadese auteur en muzikant Neil Peart (1952-2020). Op 5 november 2020 verscheen mijn eerste Peart vertaling bij uitgeverij Ahvô Braiths. Ondertussen heb ik een tweede vertaling klaar, Drumbeats.

PASSING OF NEIL PEART

It is with profound sadness that we report the untimely passing of Neil Peart. Neil passed away on Tuesday, January 7th after a three and a half year battle with cancer.
It is hard to fathom the enormous loss Neil's passing presents to the world of music and to the legions of Rush fans the world over. He made his mark in his short time on this earth, and he will not be soon forgotten.
Rest in Peace, Neil. Thank you for a lifetime of music that will span the ages.

Edwin Boer: "I hope you can find a good replacement so that you can continue with the Rushians". We respond to Edwin's wish. We have found a new bass player in Paul van Stapele and he is very proud that he can take on this task. The first shows are scheduled at the end of 2019.

It is with an infinite feeling of sadness that we have to inform you that our one and only Dutch Geddy Lee, Edwin Boer, passed away on March 18, 2019.
With the loss of Edwin we lose a dear friend and a very talented bass-player.
We will miss him terribly.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones, family and friends. We wish them love, strenght and many comforting arms to help them fill the gap that Edwin leaves behind in their lives and hearts.

This year's rush fan event was held in the Kultuurhuus in Borne. A magnificent day organized and visited by a large number of dedicated rush fans. The day started with a knowledge game about the history of Rush where great prizes could be won. The Dutch Funcraft was present outside. The Rushians open all registers. With a huge video screen, Red Barchetta, Camera Eye, Witch Hunt, Natural Sciense and others are accompanied with videos. We hope to see you all again next year !!
